By way of introduction, I am Donna, a 64 year old runner and I have been running for six years. I met Lilly about 3 ½ years ago shortly after my husband and I moved to Boulder. At that time Lilly was the owner of Fleet Feet running store on Broadway just a few blocks from my house. I would stop by her store to browse and to have her reset the time on my old Timex running watch. I eventually decided to sign up for the No Boundaries running program conducted by Fleet Feet, which helps prepare people to run a 5K or 10K race. Our first group was small but Lilly was the thread that wove us together in friendship, fun, and her love of running. Through that first running group I met the people that would become my best friends in Boulder and Lilly was my first best friend. Her enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for running inspired everyone in the group and as the time passed the group began to grow because of Lilly’s passion for life and running.

I have now been a part of approximately a dozen of Lilly’s running programs, and I cannot imagine running without Lilly’s programs. Lilly has changed and evolved since we first met. She has sold her running store and has her own running coaching business. Lilly’s coaching continues to inspire me and all others who know her. She makes me proud to be a woman and inspires me to be a better runner and a better person. I am proud to say I am one of Lilly’s best friends.
